Guttering on 3 x Tradewinds Parasol 2.8m Square

A customer wanted to join 3 x Tradewinds Parasols in 2.8m square together with zips to make one very big shaded area. He wanted to avoid the risk of rain falling between the parasols
I advised that this is perfectly possible to do, but it is much better to make a cloth guttering with zips on both sides so that:
1. You can create a fall in the guttering, allowing you to control the direction of the water run off from the parasols
2. You won't get the same water leakage through the zips as the water will be in the channel of cloth not running directly into and along the zip
3. You give the parasols a bit of room to move in the wind without the strut ends banging into each other and thus risking strut damage.
This kind of guttering is what is used on big commercial parasols at hotels, restaurants etc.
