My Serengeti Swift parasol will only open sufficiently wide for me the use the bottom of the pin holes, not the top ones. Is there a problem with it?

Posting date: 27th July 2010 13:34

The short answer is no, as your Serengeti Swift parasol is new.

Your canopy is also new, and so is very tight. Over time the canopy will stretch and the additional holes on the parasol frame allow for this, and enable you to still get a tight stretch on the canopy fabric even after several years. The tightness of the canopy is important for its rain resistance and for avoiding tears and damage in wind. It keeps the whole parasol frame tight and therefore strong.
