Can I convert by 1.85m standard Paraflex arm into a 2.35 Paraflex Kingsize arm?

Dear Claire
I would like to extend my 1.85m standard arm on my paraflex parasol by adding another section to it. We have a block of sunlight into our conversatory which we would also like to shade which is just out of reach of the current parasol set up. Is this possible?

I suspected this may be difficult and the UK Paraflex agents have confirmed that it is not possible to fit on the extra section. Your only option is to buy a new king size arm - the cost is £265 delivered. So let me know if you would like one - we have 3 in stock at the moment.
