Shade Q&A
Thoughts on patio and poolside living. A blog by Claire - The Patio Umbrella
What size pit do I need to dig for the inground fixing of a 3.4m Shademaker Sola Octagonal Parasol?

I have checked this with the UK agents for Shademakers. The pit for the Shademaker Octagonal 3.4m Parasol needs to be 60x50x100cm. This is probably over engineered, but the extra depth and diameter is recommended because it is not easy to increase the foundations after the event, if you find they are not sufficiently strong.
I am sure the extra digging now is worth it!
