How "rainproof" is the Paraflex Rectangular 1.9m x 3.8m side post parasol?

Posting date: 28th March 2010 15:29

You are right to question this. The Paraflex Rectangular 1.9m x 3.8m side post parasol is created by hanging 2 x 1.9m square canopies from a single post, making the 1.9m x 3.8m rectangular shape. A duo hinge piece, allows both arms to hang off the pole at the same height.

You are right, however, that this is better for sunshade than for rain. There is a gap between the square parasol canopies where rain would get it. You could tilt the parasols outwards and overlap them to get the rain running away from the centre, but it is unlikely to be completely rain tight at the gap.

Just depends, really, how long you will want to stay outside in the rain quite how much of an annoyance this drawback creates
