We sold the Scolaro Braccio parasols until last Season, when we decided to discontinue them and they were on at sale price until very recently. All the sale stock has now gone.

The Scolaro Braccio were popular cantilever parasols and we sold a lot of them. Their traditional wooden mast was a popular design and they came with the unusually large size of 3x4m rectangular.

However, we decided to replace the range with the Serengeti parasol range which has an aluminium frame. The main reason for this is that the Serengeti Cantilever parasols are better engineered with an easy to use and smoother running, winding mechanism. Whilst the Scolaro's were a good price when on the sale price, the winding mechanism did occassionally cause difficulties getting jammed which was not good in an expensive parasol.

The Serengeti Eclipse has proved a very popular replacement for the Scolaro, with no winding mechanism problems reported from customers in the whole of last Season. Shame that they do not come slightly larger and with an alternative wood mast. I have advised my suppliers that this extension to the range would be a good idea!

Scolaro Braccio parasols are still being made but so far as I am aware, they are no longer being imported in the UK. The Italian manufacturer is still going strong, however.
